Idea: Hans Brinker Budget Hotel proprietor Rob Penris, is always looking for new developments. He realised that many hotels have bathrobes, towels or ashtrays to buy (or steal).
The Hans Brinker Budget Hotel has nothing. Even the toilet paper is of too low a grade to ‘borrow’. So, wondered Rob Penris, how were guests ever to take their memories of his hotel home?

Where: “We wanted to give a souvenir of their stay that avoided the usual clichés of Amsterdam,” explains Rob Penris.
However one cliché couldn’t be avoided. The Wallpaper series comes in an exclusively stolen packaging idea. Amsterdam tourists are very often seen carrying the distinctive blue and orange triangular tubes of poster art from the Van Gogh and other museums. The Hans Brinker Budget Wallpaper packs were inspired by this.
“In some respects, my hotel is just as famous as some of the art in these museums. But much more modern. So why not hang our wallpaper up instead,” says Rob.

Satisfied: KesselsKramer has produced a publicity and retail campaign with the help of photographer, Bianca Pilet. The posters show youths in their or their parent’s homes displaying how and where to enjoy your Hans Brinker Budget Wallpaper View. Posters will be fly posted in major cities worldwide.
Rob continues: “We want to use these posters to tell a new audience about the Hans Brinker Budget Hotel. But we also believe that the products can become the ‘must have’ items for the coming seasons.”
